Salli Chicken Kheema
Ingredients
1lb ground Chicken
1 medium sized finely chopped onion
1 inch ginger finely chopped
3 garlic pods finely chopped
1 finely chopped tomato
Spice
1 finely chopped tomato
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp vinegarSpice
6 dry kashmiri chilies
3 spicy dry chilies (optional or adjust quantity depending on required spice level)
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
For Salli
1 small potato
1/4 tsp salt
oil for frying
1 small potato
1/4 tsp salt
oil for frying
Method
Grind the kashmiri chilies, spicy chilies & cumin seeds into a fine powderHeat 2 tbsp oil in a vessel and saute onion till browned
Add ginger, garlic and sauté for a minute
Mix in tumeric & ground powder
Add the tomato and cook till soft
Mix in the ground meat and mix very well till granular
Add 1/2 cup water & salt and cook closed for 5 mins
Add sugar & vinegar, mix well and cook till thickened
Salli
Grate potato
Mix in the salt.
Heat oil in a pan
Deep fry the grated potato
Be quick so as to not burn it.
Serve kheema garnished with coriander and salli
