Toi
Ingredients
1 cup tur dal
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
For tempering
1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp sliced ginger
2 dried red chilies
1 pinch asoeftida
6-7 curry leaves
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
Method
Put tur dal, 3 cups water, salt & turmeric powder in a bowl
Boil in instant pot for 15 mins on high pressure
Heat a small pan and add ghee
Once hot add in mustard seeds
When they splutter, add in ginger, red chilies, asoeftida & curry leaves
Sauté for 2 mins
Pour this mix in the boiled dal
Garnish with chopped cilantro
