Basundi


Ingredients
  • 3 cups milk 
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 saffron strands
  • 1/4 tspn cardamom powder
  • 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tspn sliced almonds
  • 1 tspn shelled pistas
Method

Heat milk in a thick bottomed pan. Keep the heat on medium and cook till the milk reduces to half
Add the sugar and cook till the sugar is dissolved.
          Take 2 tbsp of the heated milk in a bowl and add the saffron strands to it.
Add the milk with saffron strands and whipping cream into the thickened milk and mix well.
Take off the heat, add cardamom, almonds & pista. Serve cold.
