Spicy Vermicelli

Ingredients

10 medium sized shrimp
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red chili powder

1 inch cinammon stick
5 cloves
5 peppercorns

2 cups water

2 tbsp oil
2 cups Vermicelli
1 finely chopped green chili
1 medium sized onion julienne cut
1/2 cup fine chopped carrots
1/2 cup fine chopped french beans
1/2 cup cauliflower
1/2 cup green peas
1 tsp salt


Method
Clean the shrimp and cut into smaller pieces if too big
Apply the salt, red chili powder and keep aside.
Powder the cloves, peppercorns & cinammon
Boil the water and keep ready.

In a pan heat oil and saute the vermicelli till partially browned.
Add in the onions, green chili and shrimp.
Continue to saute till shrimp is cooked and onion is softer.
Add the chopped vegetables, salt, powdered spices and mix well
Pour in the hot water and keep closed till done. About 5-10 mins

Notes:
1) The powdered spices can be substituted with Maggi masala cube. Adjust the salt quantity since the cube is quite salty

2) Skip the shrimp for vegetarian version
