Italian Sausage with Peppers


Ingredients

  • 6 spicy italian sausages
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 capsicum
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

Heat 1/2 cup water in a skillet and cook the sausages till browned on all sides
Remove the sausages and cut in small round pieces
If any water is left in the skillet keep it aside for later

Cut onions, capsicum & garlic in julienne cut
Put butter in the skillet and add garlic and onions and fry till browned
Add the capsicum and mix
Add the spices, salt and sausages and mix all well together.
Add 3 tbsp of water (or the water retrieved after cooking the sausages)
Turn the heat low and let it simmer for a while
After 5 mins, turn heat high till the water dries up
