Fish Rawa fry
Ingredients
1 lb kingfish
For Marination
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp oil
1 tbsp hot water
For Frying
oil for shallow frying
1/4 cup rice rawa (also available as idli rawa)
1/2 cup rice flour
Method
Blend all the ingredients under marination to make a thick paste
Marinate the fish in the mix and keep aside for an hour
In a pan heat oil
Mix the rice flour & rice rawa
Dip each piece of marinated fish in mix and place on the pan on medium heat
Flip sides after 3 mins, add little oil and let cook for another 3 mins
Cook longer for crispier version
Remove and place on a tissue paper so that the excess oil is absorbed.
Serve hot
Note:
Same preparation can be used for other varieties of fish & shrimp
It can also be used for sliced potatoes, eggplant, okra, mushrooms
