Dhansaak


Ingredients
1 pound chicken
1 cup red lentils (masoor daal)
2 finely chopped green chillies
1 inch finely chopped ginger
1 finely chopped onion
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp kasuri methi
1/4 tsp tumeric powder
4 cups chicken stock
1 tsp salt
1 tsp oil

Method
Heat oil in a vessel and add  mustard seeds
Once they splutter, saute the onions till translucent.
Add the rest of the ingredients except chicken and lentils and stir for a minute
Add the lentils and chicken and saute to mix
Add the chicken stock and cook covered on medium heat for 20 mins

Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 20 mins
Serves: 4
