Varan

Ingredients
1/2 cup tur dal
2 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 cup grated coconut
1 tsp cumin seeds


Method
Mix tur dal, salt, water 
Boil in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles

Mix grated coconut, turmeric powder and cumin seeds
Grind to a fine paste.

Add the ground mix to the boiled dal 
Cook the dal till boiling.

Serve on rice with a blob of ghee.
