Savory Roses



Ingredients
1 Pillsbury crescent roll
8 tbsp Vodka or marinara sauce 
8 tbsp Shredded cheddar cheese
Oregano
Red chili flakes
Salt 
1 round red potato or pepperoni slices
1/4 cup Lemon juice
Method
Mix lemon juice, 1 tsp salt & 1/2 cup water
Slice red potato into very thin circles with the peel and half them
Add the slices to the lemon juice mix and heat till the potato softens 
Drain and keep aside
Roll the crescent roll and make 8 strips each 9x2 inches
Spread a tbsp of vodka sauce & cheese on each.
Sprinkle oregano, red chili flakes, salt as per taste
Place potato slices on the long edge of the sheet; fold the pastry sheet and roll to make a rose

Preheat oven to 375 deg C and bake for 25 mins. Cover the roses with aluminum foil to prevent the potato from burning and then bake another 20 mins.

Potato can be replaced with eggplant or pepperoni for other delicious roses
