Kheema Curry (Andhra Style)
Ingredients
spices
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp poppy seeds
1/4 tsp fennel seeds
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 inch cinnamon
2 cardamom
2 cloves
4 dry red chilies
1lb kheema
1 strand curry leaves
2 finely chopped green chilis
2 inch ginger grated
1 finely chopped medium sized onion
1 finely chopped tomato
1/2 cup peas
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
Method
Dry roast the spices
Grind the spices into a fine powder and keep aside
Heat oil in a pan
Add the curry leaves, green chilis and ginger
Saute for a min and add in the onion
Cook till the onion is translucent
Add in the kheema & turmeric; mix well
Saute and let cook for 3 mins
Add salt, ground spices & tomato; mix well and cook for another 3 mins
Add in peas and a cup of water
Close and cook for 10 mins.
Open and cook to thicken to required consistency.
Garnish with finely chopped coriander
