Paplet hooman (Pomfret Curry)


Ingredients 
1 lb cleaned pomfret steak pieces
1 finely chopped onion
3 tsp salt
1 tsp oil

For ground paste
2 cups grated coconut
1 small ball of tamarind
1/2 tsp turmeric
5 peppercorns 
4 garlic pods
4 spicy red chilis
2 Kashmiri chilis

Method
Apply 1 tsp salt to the fish and keep aside 

Mix all ingredients for the ground paste and grind to a fine paste

Heat oil in a vessel and add onions
Sauté till browned
Add the ground paste and bring to boil
Add the fish pieces, cover and cook on medium heat for 15 mins or till the fish is cooked

Serve hot with rice
