Cauliflower & Cabbage Pakoras


Ingredients
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Oil for frying

For Batter
1 cup gram flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp carrom seeds powdered
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp chopped coriander
2 tbsp oil
1 cup warm water

Method
Mix all the dry ingredients for the batter. The rice flour helps make them crispy.
Mix in the oil
Now add in water slowly and keep mixing to ensure there are no lumps
Keep aside

Slice cabbage in thin pieces
Separately make chunky cauliflower florets

Heat oil in a kadhai
To check if hot enough, drop in little batter. It should immediately rise to the surface.
Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter and drop them carefully in the oil
Cook on medium heat till well browned
Take out on a tissue paper so that excess oil is soaked up

Mix in the cabbage in the remaining batter.
Drop spoonfuls in the oil
Take out quickly once the batter is cooked;. Cabbage can get burnt easily.

Enjoy hot!
