Aamli Pachdi
Ingredients
1 big raw mango
1/2 cup chana dal
1/4 cup grated coconut
1 pinch asoeftida
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp jaggery
2 green chilis
1 tbsp chopped coriander
Method
Soak the chana dal in water for an hour
Peel the raw mango and grate it. Should yield about 1.5 cups.
Put the soaked Chana dal, grated coconut, asoeftida, salt, jaggery & green chilis in a blender
Grind to make a coarse paste
Mix together the dal mix & grated raw mango well.
Add more jaggery if the raw mango is too sour
The overall taste should be a good mix of sweet & sour.
Garnish with the coriander and serve chilled
