Instant Chole

For dish
1 cup chick peas (chole)
1 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
5 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasuri methi
1 tsp kasuri methi
1 tbsp salt
For ground paste
1 medium sized onion
1 medium sized tomato
2 inch ginger
4 garlic cloves
2 green chilis
Method
Soak chick peas and keep overnight
Put all the ingredients listed under ground paste into a blender and make a thick puree
In a pressure cooker heat oil and add the cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick and bay leaves.
Once smoky, pour in the puree.
Saute well for 5 mins
Add in the garam masala, kasuri methi, salt and the chick peas.
Add 2 cups water
Pressure cook for 10 mins or 6 whistles
Serve hot with Rice or chapatis
