Mashed Potato
Ingredients
1.5 lb potatoes
1 tsp salt
4.5 tbsp heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp hot water/ chicken broth
1 tsp pepper
Method
Dice the potatoes into small pieces.
Boil water and add the potatoes to the boiling water.
Leave for 5 mins and then drain out the water
Add ice cold water to the potatoes and leave for 5 mins.
Repeat the process till the potatoes are soft enough to be mashed
This process inter changing the water every 5 mins helps ensure that the potatoes are not sticky.
Mash the potato and set aside.
Melt the butter and add all the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Blend this mixture well with the mashed potatoes
