Butter naan (no yeast)


Ingredients 
2 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup Plain Greek yogurt 

Water for brushing the naan
Butter for brushing the naan
Chopped Coriander for garnishing 






Method
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl
Add yogurt and knead lightly to make a ball of dough


Split into 9 parts and make balls
Roll the dough in a round, triangular or oval shape

Heat a girdle on high. Do no use a non stick pan.
Once hot switch to medium heat.
Take one of the rolled naans, brush one side with water
Place the naan on the girdle with water side down and dab lightly.
The naan will stick to the girdle
Wait for 2 mins
Increase flame to high and flip the girdle on the flame
Roast the top side of the naan to give it a nice brownish tinge
Scrap the bottom and release naan on a plate
Top with a blob of butter and sprinkle some chopped coriander

Servings: Makes 9 naans

Notes:
For garlic naan, mince garlic and mix with melted butter. As soon as the naan is taken off the girdle, brush with this flavored butter right when it is piping hot.
