Turkey Burgers


Ingredients

For burger patty
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp chopped mint
2 tbsp chopped coriander

For burgers toppings
1 onion julienne cut
1 cup sliced mushrooms
pinch of salt
pinch of red chili powder

For Burger
Brioche buns
butter
cheese slices

Method

Toppings
Head a skillet and saute the onions till soft
Add in the mushrooms, salt & red chili powder
Saute on medium heat till nicely caramelized
Keep aside

Burger patty
Mix all the ingredients listed till well incorporated.
Heat a skillet on medium heat
Shape into a patty and roast on skillet till browned on one side
Flip and cook till thoroughly cooked
Place a slice of cheese on the hot patty and take off the skillet a min later.

Burger
Apply butter on the inside of the buns and place on the skillet till slightly browned

To assemble, place bread on plate
Place the cheese patty on the bread
Add the onion and mushroom topping.


Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes
1) Optionally you may add mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato slice, pickles and a wide variety of condiments to your burger.
2) Ground turkey maybe substituted with any meat. Adjust the salt accordingly.
3) I skip the toppings when packing as lunch for my son
