Taaka Kadi



Ingredients

1 cup Greek yogurt
1 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional to give slight sourness to the yogurt)

For Tempering
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Pinch of asoeftida
6 curry leaves
1 tsp thinly sliced ginger
1 green chili sliced

1 tbsp chopped cilantro


Method

Mix yogurt, water & salt
Beat for 3 mins till frothy

In a small pan heat oil
Add turmeric powder & mustard seeds
Once they splutter add in asoeftida, curry leaves, ginger & green chili.
Sauté for a minute
Pour this mix into the dilute yogurt

Garnish with cilantro

Serve with white rice

Notes:
Use buttermilk if available instead of diluted yogurt
