Chocolate lava cake




Ingredients 

4 oz unsalted butter

6 oz bittersweet chocolate

2 eggs

2 egg yolks

3 tbsp sugar

Pinch of salt 

2 tbsp flour


Method

Preheat oven to 450 deg F

Butter & lightly flour 4 ramekins 6oz each.


In a double boiler melt butter

Add chocolate and mix till well blended



In a medium sized bowl add eggs, egg yolks, salt and sugar

Beat till thick and light yellow


Mix in the flour and chocolate mix into the eggs till well integrated


Pour the mix in each ramekin, bake for 12 mins


Take out, and keep for 1 min



Invert ramekin over a dessert plate

Wait 10 secs and unmold


Serve as is or topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.


Servings: 4 6oz cakes 


Note:

You can refrigerate the batter till ready to bake 

Bring to room temperature before popping into the oven
