Tisryanche Dhabdhabit (Clam Masala)
Ingredients
2 cups cleaned & shucked tisryo (clams)
2 onions
2 green chilis
1 raw mango
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt (add more as per taste)
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp red chili powder
Method
Chop 1 onion into fine pieces
Slit the chilis into 2 pieces along the length
Cut the raw mango into big cubes
In a vessel, add clams, chopped onion, chilis, mango, turmeric, 1/4 cup water and cook on low flame
In a mixer, grind coconut, chili powder and a onion into a fine paste
Add this paste to the clams and cook on medium flame till it boils
Garnish with coriander leaves
Note: instead of raw mango, you can add kokum sola OR grind tamarind with the coconut.
