Podi

Ingredients
1 cup urad dal
5 garlic cloves
10 curry leaves
4 dried red chilies
1/2 tsp sesame seeds
pinch of asafoetida
salt as per taste
1 tsp oil

Method
Slice the garlic
Heat a pan and dry roast all the ingredients except oil, asafoetida & salt
When the ingredients are browned, add in the oil, asafoetida & salt and mix well
Take off heat
Using a coffee grinder, grind the mix into a fine powder

Serving
Serve a spoonful of podi, make a well in the center
Pour in a spoon of coconut or olive oil
Mix well and eat with Idli or Dosa
