Masala Dosa






Ingredients 

Dosa batter


For Potato bhaaji

4 potatoes

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin seems

1 tbsp moong dal 

1 strand Curry leaves 

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 green chili

1 tsp sliced ginger 

1 small onion 


Method


Potato bhaaji

Boil potatoes in pressure cooker for 3 whistles

Once the pressure reduces the potatoes out and peel


Chop potato into chunky pieces

Chop onions into chunky pieces

Thinly slice ginger and green chilies


In a pan heat oil

When slightly smoky, add cumin seeds & moong dal

When it splutters add curry leaves, green chili & ginger. Sauté for a min.

Add in turmeric powder, onion and sauté till soft

Add 1/2 cup water and the chopped potatoes

Cover and cook for 5 mins.

The bhaaji needs to be dry




Dosa

Heat a girdle 

Pour a scoop of dosa batter in the center

Spread around to make a thin dosa. 

Once done put bhaaji in the center and fold.





Kiddie version - Kaasav

Pour a small thick dosa 

When partially cooked put bhaaji on top

Pour batter on top and let it spread to the pan

Cover and cook for 2 mins



Put some oil around and on top

Flip the dosa and keep for another 2 mins till cooked


Serve hot
